He is credited as the pioneer who initially proposed the concept of performing operative micro hysterectomy in India.

In a groundbreaking move in 1990, Dr. Marwah became the first Indian physician to establish a specialized unit for gynecological endoscopic surgery at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi.

This pioneering unit marked a significant milestone as it was the first of its kind in India solely dedicated to the advancement of gynecological laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures.
