His educational qualifications include an MBBS from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, an MD (Internal Medicine) from - Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut (UP), and a DM in Oncology from Cancer Institute, Chennai.

His area of clinical expertise encompasses Stem Cell Transplantation, Lung Cancer Treatment, Hormone Therapy For Breast Cancer,  Osteosarcoma Treatment, Oral Cancer Treatment, and Melanoma Treatment.

He has more than 20 National and International papers to his credit. 

Dr Sumant is a revered member of Dethe the Medical Council and the Indian Society of Oncology & Breast Cancer Foundation.
