• Dr. Sanjiv Saigal is a qualified hepatologist who, for more than a decade, has served as the leader of the medical team performing liver transplantation for the biggest liver transplant program in India.
• a total of 1500 liver transplants, including those from deceased as well as living donors, were successfully carried out.
• About 25 liver transplants should be performed each month, and the success rate should be more than 90 percent.
• A specialist in liver transplantation (also known as transplant hepatology), acute liver failure; viral hepatitis; alcoholic liver disease; drug-induced liver disease; and liver cancer.
• Over 130 papers and talks have been published and given at various national and international conferences.
• Presented with a number of honors, such as the INLAKS Fellowship in liver transplantation at King's College Hospital in London, the National Pfizer award, and the Calcutta University Gold Medal, amongst others.
• In addition to being a member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, I am also a member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) (MAMS)
