Dr. Purshotam Lal is an acclaimed Interventional cardiologist, with an extensive experience of more than 45 years.

His considerable education qualifications include an MBBS, MD, and AB from the USA, FRCP in Cardiology, FACM, FICC, FACC, and FSCAI from the USA.

His areas of specialty are Stress Echocardiography, Myocardial Perfusion Imaging, Valve Repair Replacement, Ross Procedure, Cardiac Tumor Treatment, Minimal access Surgeries for Valves, and Atrial Septal Defect Closure.

Dr. Lal has the unique distinction of introducing the largest number of procedures in the field of Interventional Cardiology for the first time in the country.

He has more than twenty 'firsts' to his credit such as Slow Rotational Angioplasty, Coronary Atherectomy, Diamond Drilling of Arteries (Rotablator), and Non-Surgical Closure of Heart Hole. Non-Surgical Aortic Valve Replacement, etc.

He has earned multiple entries in the Limca Book of World Records and was bestowed with the title of the World's Greatest Leader during the India-UAE Business Summit.

He is a proficient member of  Dethe the Medical Council, Expert Committee for Medical Devices, Ministry of Health, and Central Council of Health & Family Welfare among others.

Dr. Purshotam Lal stands as the singular Interventional Cardiologist to be bestowed with the Padma Vibhushan, the highest honor in the Padma Awards, directly from the President of India a recognition he achieved since the inception of the Padma Awards in 1954. He was also conferred with the prestigious Padma Bhushan.
