Dr. Mukesh Goel is a distinguished cardiothoracic surgeon with over 15 years of practice, renowned for his exceptional reputation in the field.
He is highly skilled in a variety of surgical procedures, including bypass surgery, vascular surgery, minimally invasive heart valve surgery, and open-heart surgery for the replacement and repair of heart valves.
He has performed two thousand cardiac operations up to this point.
He has a wealth of experience in performing high-risk CABG on patients (including those with very poor heart function, obese women, renal failure patients including those on dialysis, the elderly, and those with COPD), aortic dissection and aneurysm surgery with and without valve-sparing, valve repair for ischemic and degenerative mitral regurgitation, and bilateral IMA grafting.
He has also performed valve repair for ischemic and degenerative mitral regurgitation. Aneurysm and dissection of the descending thoracic aorta were repaired using a hybrid technique.
He is now working on developing new treatments for heart failure, such as mechanical support devices, a hybrid approach to treating aortic aneurysms and dissection, valve-sparing aortic root replacement, and cardiac transplantation.
As the principal cardiovascular surgeon at the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences in Faridabad, he was responsible for establishing the Cardiovascular Surgery Unit in February 2010.
At the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, he also initiated a program for minimally invasive techniques in cardiac surgery and the treatment of aortic dissections (aneurysms).
In 2007, he founded the Cardiac Surgery Unit at the Delhi Heart Institute in Bathinda (Punjab), which is now a part of the Medanta organization.
In 2010, he participated in a workshop in Lyon that was focused on minimally invasive mitral valve replacement, and in 2014, he attended a masterclass in Oxford that was centered on total artery bypass grafting.
