Dr. A.V. Gurava Reddy is one of the best orthopedic surgeons in India with more than 33 years of experience in joint replacement surgeries.

He has successfully treated more than 60,000 patients with excellent outcomes, and he also performs over 4,000 joint replacements every year, which is the second-highest in South Asia.

Dr. Gurava has spent 10 years working in the United Kingdom and has also performed surgeries in the Middle East, Europe, and the United States as well.

He has served as a consultant and faculty member at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, and also as a founder member of the Indian Society of Hip and Knee Surgeons, working to advance orthopedic care in India.

Dr. Gurava helps society through his Sarvejana Foundation, which runs three important programs:

• HappyKnees, which provides free knee surgeries to women from poor families, especially those who cannot get treatment under government health schemes.
• S.H.A.R.E. (Sarvejana Hip Academy for Research and Education) trains young hip surgeons and builds a network to increase access to advanced hip surgeries, especially for children.
• S.T.O.P. (Society to Prevent Accidents) works to improve road safety and emergency response systems in India.

He says that his success comes from putting patients first, and he builds a strong bond with his patients from their first meeting, and soon becomes like a family member to them.

Dr. Gurava has been recognized as the Leading Physician of the World and Top Adult Reconstructive Orthopedic Surgeon in India by the International Association of Orthopedic Surgeons, which is a rare honour.

Additionally, he is known for taking on the most complex and risky surgeries with complete faith in God. One example is a young girl whose four joints were damaged by arthritis. Dr. Gurava replaced all four joints within just 10 days.
