In 1999, Dr. Mathur accomplished another groundbreaking feat by performing the first carotid stenting treatment in India, a technique crucial for preventing brain strokes.

His expertise extends to interventions that impact the heart's structure, including balloon valvulotome procedures, acquired VSD closures, and LAA appendage closures.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions, Dr. Mathur holds the esteemed position of President of Cardiovascular Therapeutics (CVT) in India.

His comprehensive education and experience gained at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi and the University of Alabama in Birmingham, United States, have significantly contributed to his esteemed reputation today.
