Dr. Anil Vaidya is a highly renowned Multi-Organ Transplant Surgeon with over 28 years of experience.

He has performed Asia’s first En-Bloc Heart Liver Transplant and became the first surgeon in the world to perform a Sentinel Skin Flap with a Multi-Visceral Graft, an innovation that greatly improved monitoring of intestinal grafts.

He also stands among the few surgeons worldwide to have successfully performed more than 1000 Pancreas Transplants, placing him in the top 3% of surgeons globally, as rated by Research Gate.

Dr. Vaidya has made significant contributions to the advancement of transplantation medicine and has also been instrumental in the development of Pancreatic, Intestinal, and Multi-Visceral Transplant Programs.

He completed an American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) accredited fellowship in Multi-Organ Transplantation at the University of Miami, where he trained under globally respected mentors such as Dr. Andreas Tzakis, Dr. Gaetano Ciancio, and Dr. George Burke.

Dr. Vaidya went on to serve for 12 years as a consultant transplant surgeon at Oxford University Hospital and also worked as a professor of transplantation in the UK, where he played a key role in training both postgraduate and undergraduate medical students for over a decade.

He is also recognized as a pioneer of Transplant Oncology, a field that combines complex Multi-Visceral Transplant Techniques with adjuvant immunotherapy to treat locally advanced abdominal cancers.

Additionally, he has authored over 120 peer-reviewed articles, highlighting his dedication to research and innovation in transplantation.

His lifetime vision extends beyond clinical excellence: he aspires to help create a world free of Diabetes by 2030 and free of Dialysis by 2050.
