Dr. Saxena is one of the few doctors who can treat both impotence and prostate disease with a bloodless technique (Vapour resection). The International Japanese Organization 'OISCA' presented him with the award for his exceptional work in surgery, particularly in the field of Urology, in 1996–1997.

Dr. Ajit Saxena earned his M.B.B.S. and M.S. degrees from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi University. After obtaining his FRCS in the UK, he attended the esteemed London Institute of Urology for postgraduate training. He stayed in the UK for another eight years of practice. After two more years at New Delhi's Ganga Ram Hospital, he became a senior consultant at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals.

The Delhi Andrology Society has elected Dr. Saxena as its new president.

Robotic prostate surgery is a new field that Dr. Saxena helped to establish in India. He is responsible for arranging the FIRST LIVE ROBOTIC URO- SURGERY WORKSHOP, held in New Delhi at the Escorts Heart Institute.
